Checker Cab's impressive Key Assignment Room.
Our fleet consists of late model General Motors and Ford vehicles, all city inspected and approved to operate as taxicabs. Checker Cab was the first to add 7-passenger minivans to diversify the fleet and accommodate groups with 4-7 passengers. Each cab is equipped with a two-way radio and state-of-the-art computer dispatch system.
Checker Cab prides itself on its team of mechanics, technicians, engineers and maintenance staff employed at the historic Trumbull Garage and Bagley locations. Not only do these certified personnel keep Checker's nearly 500 cabs in good working order, they also service vehicles belonging to other fleet owners who have work agreements with Checker Cab.
